First Lady Inza Downing
Inza Downing was born in Asheville, North Carolina. She attended Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem North Carolina, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Intermediate Education in 1976. She received a teaching certificate in Elementary Education from the same university. She received her Master of Education degree from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. She met her husband, Albert Downing, while working as an Adjunct Professor at Winston Salem State University. They were married in June 1998. That same year her husband joined the military as a United States Army Chaplain. She has had many adventures in ministry while she and her husband traveled to many different places. Her favorite assignment being at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. She was also the first School Liaison Officer at Fort Drum, New York. As well as serving as a School Age Director at West Point and Family Child Care Director at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She has assisted her husband in many different areas of administration and helps ministries. She currently serves as Executive Pastor at Living Faith Christian Center.
Inza has a love for God's people and a desire for them to live their lives to the fullest by applying God’s word in everything that they do. She desired nothing but a victorious life for the Body of Christ. She is an ordained minister and is presently attending Living Faith School of Theology where she will earn her Master of Theology degree in Bible Studies in May 2020.
As first lady of Living Faith Christian Center she is a teacher, preacher, a godly role model to her congregation and the many women she has mentored through the years who affectionately call her ”Mom”.
